🎯 Introduction

Supercell has just dropped the Let’s Get Crafty update in Clash of Clans, and it’s one of the biggest in recent memory. From powerful new Crafted Defenses to the icy new Ice Block Spell, and tons of balance changes, this update brings fresh strategies for both attack and defense. Here’s a breakdown of everything important you need to know.

🛡️ Crafted Defenses (Town Hall 17)

  • New temporary defensive structures you can craft and upgrade.
  • Up to 3 Crafted Defenses per phase, but only 1 active at a time.
  • Each defense has 3 upgradeable modules for customization.
  • First 3 Crafted Defenses include:
    • Hook Tower → Pulls and stuns enemy troops.
    • Flame Spinner → Spins and burns surrounding enemies.
    • Crusher Mortar → Fires giant mortars that crush attackers.

❄️ New Spell – Ice Block (TH14+)

A Dark Elixir Spell that encases troops in an icy shield. Troops take almost no damage while frozen, but can’t move or attack. Unlocks at Town Hall 14, with upgrades available at higher levels. Perfect for distracting defenses while your main army pushes.

📖 Army Training Cookbook

  • New Cookbook tab in the Army Training screen.
  • Provides ready-made Army Recipes to train quickly.
  • Types of recipes:
    • Starter Armies (beginner-friendly for your TH level).
    • Featured/Creator Armies (limited-time strategies and pro player setups).
  • Unlocks at TH4 (Featured Armies from TH10+).

🔥 New Levels & Upgrades

  • Troops & Pets:
    • Balloon, Rocket Balloon → Level 12 (TH17)
    • Lava Hound → Level 7 (TH16)
    • Druid → Level 5 (TH17)
    • Battle Blimp → Level 5 (TH15)
    • Frosty Pet → Levels 11–15 (TH17)
  • Walls: All remaining walls can now be upgraded to Level 18.

⚔️ Balance Changes

  • Ice Hound: Freeze duration standardized, Level 1 buffed.
  • Grand Warden’s Eternal Tome:
    • Duration increased (+0.2s at all levels).
    • Troops keep immunity for 1s after leaving aura.
    • Newly entering troops also gain protection.
  • Early game tweaks: Faster, more fun battles for new players.

🏗️ Gameplay & UI Improvements

  • Army Training screen updated:
    • Change Hero Skins directly.
    • Rotate and rearrange Heroes, Spells, and Troops.
    • New alerts/warnings for better management.
  • Builder Base Elixir Cart storage increased.
  • Shop improvements: clearer pricing, special offer notifications.
  • Friendly Wars now allow 2v2 and 3v3.
  • New animations for Barracks, Spell Factories, and Workshops.

📱 Account & Platform Updates

  • Amazon Appstore → Shop offers removed; connect to Supercell ID to save progress.
  • Global Pricing Tests expanded to more regions.
  • Supercell ID Guest Accounts:
    • New players get Guest Accounts after the tutorial.
    • Can be promoted to full Supercell ID.
    • Certain achievements and rewards require full ID.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Other Changes

  • Fixed Healer targeting bug, Starter Challenge crashes, and Builder Base trap issues.
  • Added Polish language support.
  • Various icon, display, and level mismatch fixes.

🔔 Major Features & Events

  • The November season introduces the Wastelands Theme, where a meteor is crashing into your village, leaving it in ruins and ready for a rebuild.
  • The season kicks off with the Hammer Jam event — one of Clash’s most popular events — returning with huge upgrade discounts and boosts.
  • All Town Hall levels can participate in Hammer Jam and enjoy:
    • 50% reduction in upgrade time and cost (excluding Supercharges and Crafted Defenses).
    • 2× boost to Resource Collector capacity and production.
    • Active from November 1 to 17.
  • It is expected that Townhall 18 will release shortly after hammer jam is over.

  • November 1–11: Clan War Leagues (CWL) – Battle it out for medals, promotion, and clan glory.
  • November 1–17: Hammer Jam Event – Enjoy faster upgrades and boosted resources during this limited-time event.
  • November 1–30:
    • Meteor Obstacles appear in villages — clearing them gives a chance to earn Ores.
    • Goblin Builder and Goblin Researcher remain available throughout the month.
    • The Ruined Kingdom War Scenery is available in the shop.
  • November 3–30: Wasteland Scenery is available in the shop.
  • November 6–30: Wasteland Hero Skins are released.
  • November 8–17: Meteor Observer building appears outside your village — interact with it to track the incoming meteor.
  • November 10–14: 4× Star Bonus Event earn boosted loot from multiplayer battles.
  • November 15–30: A Fortune-Telling Super Decoration becomes available in the shop.
